Award Accreditation

I am pleased to learn that our medical laboratory has been awarded accreditation by the Commission on Laboratory Accreditation of the College of American Pathologist (CAP). The results of an on-site inspection showed that our lab fulfils quality laboratory services to ensure excellence in patient care. The CAP's programme is the most respected and recognised laboratory accreditation programme in the world and has been considered the "gold standard".
I'm proud to be part of the team.

Lately, we are busy with the JCI preparation audit that will take place close to one week. Everyone of us are busy memorising the mission statement to the vision and even the work instruction. The extra miles the hospital had made to distribute 'palm-booklets' information to its staff are part of the preparation too. Since the accreditation is recognisable and honourable award to every hospitals, the auditors are profoundly serious in their rounds. So hopefully everything will turn out well for our department lab and the hospital. I simply can't wait for it be to over.

Meanwhile, I better get myself prepared since my supervisor already stationed me at the counter next wed when the JCI auditors doing their round at ours. She said she needs someone with pleasant look on the frontline to welcome them. Am i? LOL! Haizzz... wed has always been a busy day at the counter since there are lots of patients drawing their blood and seeing Dr Kuperan. The billing and the results quieries on the phone really aggravates the whole environment. Nevertheless, I positively considered it as a platform for me to screen my credibility.

Oh yah! Juz wanna thank my supervisor for the recent appraisal that she gave me for my 3 mths probation period. Thanks Noor! I promise to keep up the good effort.
Back to the preparation, one definate questn they'll ask, 'What is NHG vision?'
Hmm.... answer please!

From London to Singapore

Looking at the crowd; I was wondering how long they took to settle down before the entrance door was closed. Upon reaching earlier, I was actually shocked to see the north entrance Q. My goodness! Bila nak game? Being well-off we are, we came by the east entrance since we were sitting at the left side of the stage. Coast clear! PHEWW!

At 8.45pm, the lights were slowly dimmed and Eiss started his 2 opening songs. Eager as expected, the stadium was deluded by whom they taught is Siti. Aper ker tidak, dgr ajer nyanyian bagaikan sakti, kedengaran teriakan para peminat. Well, we eventually learnt that it was not her when the cameraman zoomed her face thru' the big screen. Hahaha.... we actually laughed among ourselves. Maybe the gimmick was part of the siti's idea. Well, the stadium fall for it!

Siti started her show at 9 thru' her killer song, Dialah Di Hati. Her graceful and powerful voice obviously intoxicated the whole stadium. From ballads to pop, traditional to world music, she did it all. Unique from other concert, kesemua lagu digubah semula menjadi seperti alunan irama world music. Thanks to her talented musicians, back up singers as well as Pak Ngah. Eventhough Siti didn't invite any of her fans to the stage, she managed to captivate the crowd tru her extemporaneous speech and injecting humour. 'Haus, lah.. Jap eh. Siti minum air sikit'. She really did! Pandai buat gelak. What about, 'tunggu aper eh? Tunggu kahwin?'

Being an artist for 10 yrs, she's now not only an eminent singer but a likable entertainer. Pandai Siti ajak satu stadium bangun menari melalui Lagu Rindu. Yup, good exercise after an hour of sitting. Bukan main lagi nampak makcik2 tu gelek! Looking back at the concert, I'm not surprised to see our local artist giving her their supports. Faces like Taufiq, Mayuni Omar, Cik Sal, Najib, 'Dr Chopra' and even Dr Yakob Ibrahim. They were there.. Finally, after 2 and half hours of performing, she ended her concert tru her song, Percayalah.

All in all, it is an enjoyable and memorable concert I will never forget. Tak percaya? Tanyalah mereka yg hadir. LOL!

Give me a break...

Forgive me for my absence. Been a while I was tied up with the hectic schedule, not to mention the 2 days induction and implementing care course right up to my afternoon shift weekend. Oh boy! Somebody please give me a break! Speaking about it, I gave myself a time-out by treating ourselves for the fantastic 4 today after work. Its been eon that we hardly catch any movies esp having these kids around. Considering missing all movies that i had missed, i actually enjoy watching this particular one. Now, before I miss any new movie again, i really hope to catch the engaging tom cruise in War of the World.

And speaking about break, i could hardly wait for the next 7 days to the concert. Amazingly the people here were anxious too, literally those non-malays.

manager: so siti, how's the concert?
me: hmmm...??
manager: the siti nurhaliza's concert. I heard you went.
me: ouh...not yet. it's next wed actually and i'm taking half day off.
manager: ouh ok.. make sure you take picture with her ya.

mind you, my manager is a chinese but yet she knows very well about her. Its like; "wow! u actually know her?" She has been the talk of the town everywhere. Well, being an eminent artist, she relished her fame and basked in her glory. What more could i say... Guess she has it all!
