Mother's Love

An unforseen thing happened at work yesterday just a few hours before our visit to the zoo. Yup, an unanticipated one which might be a disappointment to the children. I suffered from UTI and my right loin was extremely agonizing. Decided to check on my urine feme and the reading for my wbc was more than 225. Was terribly unbearable that I decided to see a doctor at the walk-in clinic which my intention was just to collect medications to relief the pains. But after a thorough check -up, I was asked to be referred to A&E. The first word that I replied. "No, I don't want!" He was kinda taken aback with my reply. I lied to him that I had a family wedding to attend to and he kept recommended me to admit myself there since according to him the infection had spread to my kidney. Finally after much persuasion, he wrote me a referral letter to A&E as and when my condition deteriorate. He wanted to give me mc since I refused to be admitted but agn I turn him down. Coz it was like another 2 more hrs for me to knock off since it was Saturday.

Immediately, after that I called up home to inform hun but Zaty was the one who picked up the phone. "Mama, cepat balik lah. We're going to the zoo later." That was how anticipatedly she was upon hearing my voice on the line. My heart crushed, holding back my tears which at the same time enduring the pain I had. The first thing that came to my mind, pengorbanan seorang ibu. Hubby wanted to cancel the trip initially but I just couldn't break the kids' heart.

So without any contemplation, there I was with my family and cousins having an afternoon at the zoo despite the agonizing and torturous pain. Beyond that cheery face lies a mother's love and devotion. Sometimes, in life you may want to live it to the fullest but when it comes to children, you juz can't deny its your top list pirority.

And that reminds me of endless moments mum had sacrificed through up her journey of being a mother. Despite her sickness, and aweary , she never complaints not even a frown. Coz beneath a mother's smile tells a thousands secrets which we will never understands.

Anticipation

Finally its weekend! Had my stagger afternoon duty on Saturday and oh mind, I was busy as a bee. The never ending specimens from ED plus having that particular dawdling, lazy and obdurate medical technologist as a partner had cause me mental weariness. Oh boy! What a day!!

Picked hubby and kids after work and went straight to compasspoint to collect his pants which he had custom ordered last week at Metro. Wow! Somebody is really gonna dress up for the dnd! Mengalahkan sang isteri pulak! Well, if its not for the perfomance, I doubt he would want to. Actually, I couldn't wait to see him perform with the rest of the band members. Hmmm.. the last time he was involved in the committee was back in 2001, singing A Whole New World. Remember, darl? The time when we were engaged and I was actually jealous of you singing a duet with her. Foolish I was, I know! hahahaha.... Nevertheless, wish you all the best this coming Friday hun. We'll be 2 steps behind you... Especially when the cuzzies tag along! Gonna be so much fun lahh.

Talking about yesteryears, met the lovelies, Khairiah, Mike, Ween and their cherubic 3 mths old Zara, last Thur evening after work at Fish & Co, Tampines Mall. We had an amazing time meeting the lil' one and the momma herself, oh yeah and her doting hubby Mike tag along too. Nice to see you guys agn. It was nice remembering the good old days of skipping schools and the zany things that we did. Hahaha... okey internal jokes! And who could have imagine most of us has their families to take care of now. Wow!! So many things happened in a decade! From a naive silly gals, we metamorphose to an engaging attracting young parents. Now that we've become moms, the more we have to maintain babes! One thing I love about us, till now we still preserve and uphold our friendships. That's the best thing of all! You gals are my treasure!
